Project in Brooklyn, NYC

Facade renovation and full scope of interior renovation of a Two Family Dwelling.

BM2R worked closely with the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) of NYC regarding the full restauration of the facade, including re-brownstoning of facade, new door design, full windows replacement and wood work and repainting of cornice to its original design.

The interior was fully renovated in a clean classic style and the the new layout organized the two units around the main stair keeping its original ornaments. The proposed design includes a portion of the basement and cellar as a recreation area including enterteinment activities and connection with the backyard thru stair . The goal was to optimize the sunlight into these lower spaces thru skylights and small sunken gardens
